Southern Pine Island Sound

Capt. Andy’s fishing archive includes a juvenile tarpon caught on light spinning tackle near Sanibel and the south end of Pine Island Sound. This mix of beach-area and sound fishing is part of the appeal of planning a trip here.

A trip for your experience level

Charters welcome novice anglers, experienced fishermen and families. Talk with the captain about tarpon, snook, redfish or other seasonal fishing, and let him know whether your priority is learning light-tackle techniques or concentrating on a particular species.

Guided charter options

Capt. Andy specializes in tarpon fishing around Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor and surrounding waters. From April through October, he fishes exclusively for tarpon. These trips book early; contact him ahead of your preferred dates. Ask about other species outside those months.

Choose a 6-hour AM or PM trip, an 8-hour trip or a 10-hour trip. See the published trip rates for 1–3 anglers; a fourth angler is an additional $200 per trip. Maximum four anglers per boat.

Bait, tackle and the charter fishing license are included. See full rates and inclusions or prepare for your fishing day.
