PLAN YOUR DAY ON THE WATER
What to expect on your fishing charter.
Prepare for your Fort Myers fishing charter with Capt. Andy Boyette. Find out what is included, what to bring, how many anglers can join and how to arrange your departure. Confirm your trip’s specific details directly with the captain.
When does Capt. Andy offer tarpon charters?
Capt. Andy specializes in tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor and surrounding waters. He fishes exclusively for tarpon from April through October. These trips book early; ask about other species outside those months.
Who will guide our trip?
Capt. Andy personally guides his fishing charters. For multiple-boat parties, he works with other qualified guides.
How many people can come?
A maximum of four anglers per boat. Larger parties require multiple boats, with a separate charter rate for each boat. These are guided charters; they are not shared party-boat trips.
Do we need our own fishing licenses or tackle?
Fishing license coverage, bait, rods, reels and tackle are included. You may bring personal equipment if you prefer; discuss it with the captain in advance.
What should we bring?
Bring food and preferred drinks, a hat, sunscreen and polarized sunglasses. Ice and water are kept onboard, so you do not need to pack a separate cooler.
Where do we meet, and when do we leave?
Pickup arrangements and start times vary. Confirm the exact meeting location and departure time directly with Capt. Andy when planning your charter.
Should we book ahead?
Yes. Capt. Andy is highly sought after for tarpon fishing, and his April–October trips book early. Contact him well ahead of your preferred dates to discuss availability and confirm your charter.
Can we keep fish?
Capt. Andy promotes catch and release. Fish that are legally kept to eat can be cleaned and bagged. Applicable regulations and the species caught determine what may be retained.
What about weather, payment and cancellation questions?
Discuss these details directly with the captain before booking. Call 941-769-1582 so your arrangements are clear before your trip.
